The government has initiated the “PM Awas Yojana Rural Survey 2025” process. This survey will identify eligible families who will receive government assistance to build permanent homes. This has made the process faster and more convenient, ensuring that no eligible family is left out of the scheme.
How much is the amount available under the PM Awas Yojana?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, rural families are provided with up to ₹1.20 lakh in flat areas and up to ₹1.30 lakh in hilly or uneven areas. This amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account, facilitating easier house construction. Benefits will be available only to citizens who own a kutcha house or are homeless, and who do not have a government job or tax return.

The Awas Plus App is a government mobile application developed by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. When applying for the survey, citizens must have the following documents:

- Ration Card
- NREGA Job Card
- Bank Passbook
- All of these documents must be uploaded at the time of the survey. Missing any of these documents may result in rejection.

Downloading the Awas Plus App is very easy. You need to search for “Awas Plus App” on your mobile device’s Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once you find the app, click “Install” and download it. Once installed, you can easily check your application status, eligibility, and list information by logging in with your mobile number and OTP.

How to Apply for the Awas Yojana Rural Survey?
For the PM Awas Yojana Rural Survey, first download the Awas Plus App on your mobile device or visit the website pmaymis.gov.in.
- Click on the “Self Survey” option.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and verify.
- Take your photo and fill in your personal information.
- Select your state, district, panchayat, and village.
- Upload photos of your home and submit the form.
Once your application is submitted, officials will verify your information. If eligible, the amount for home construction will be transferred directly to your bank account.
How to check your name on the housing list?
If you want to know whether your name is on the housing scheme list, you need to visit the official website of the PM Awas Yojana, pmayg.nic.in. Click on the “Beneficiary List” or “Check Application Status” option. Then, enter your registration number or mobile number and search. If your name is on the list, complete housing information will appear on the screen.
